Height above Sea Level: 290 feet

Carina was originally provided with a 150 foot passenger platform with a 20 x 12 foot portable office, 10 x 12 foot ladies waiting room, men's and ladies toilets and a van goods shed. The loop goods siding had a 50 x 16 foot goods platform and sheep race at the down end.

Carina was worked under supervision from Murrayville, however from 21-10-1929 it was worked under no-one-in-charge conditions.

A 65,000 bushel grain elevator was constructed on the goods siding circa 1939.

Departmental residence No. 2267 was provided. A track repairer occupied the house until 1931 when he was transferred due to the track gang located Murrayville being reduced from 4 to 3 men. The gang was enlarged to 4 men in 1938 due to introduction of a 44 hours working week. The house was occupied by caretakers until it was demolished in November 1943.

On 13-7-1970, the Staff locking of the main line points was replaced with CCW levers, hand locking bars and padlocks. Scotch Blocks were provided in the Siding in lieu of Catch Points.

On 21-9-1976 Staff Locks were provided in lieu of hand locking bars on the Up and Down points.

Supervision of Carina was transferred from Murrayville to Ouyen, by 13-12-1983.

In 1984 a new radio mast was installed at the station platform site. This mast was part of a new communication system to allow train controllers direct contact with train crews.

On 27-7-1999, Vicgrain Limited announced that 71 under utilised sites throughout the State would no longer form part of its core grain storage system. Carina was included as a site that no longer met Vicgrain's operational requirements.
